Combining Avios: BA and Iberia (it can be done!!)

Right so the functionality on the website is still offline, however today I came across this thread on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/awardtravel/comments/1nan1zm/avios_transfer_problem/

I called the US number and, maybe by luck, was put through to a very knowledgeable agent this time.

She confirmed my personal details, read some disclaimers and the avios were transferred instantly from my BA account to my IB account!! The whole thing took less than 10 minutes once I got through to someone.

So it’s definitely possible, might just need a few attempts to get to the right agent who knows how to do it!
