Forums Frequent flyer programs Other frequent flyer schemes Complaints to Iberia, any experience?

  • 173 posts

I recently travelled to Madrid from EDI and had to fly with Iberia, flown with them for the first time and the experience was definitely 3rd class cattle. I unfortunately got my clothes and shoes ruined as my seat was not cleaned as there was cake and food smeared on the seat and floor, i tried to avoid the floor however it was only after I had arrived into MAD had i noticed that my clothes were ruined. I wrote to Iberia who gave me the worst response ever and wrote only a one liner in the email after I had written about 2 pages worth along with photographs.

Has anyone successfully complained to Iberia and are they really bad for attaining to getting a response from them?

    Appreciate any help with this,

Complaining to Iberia is like shouting at a wall. If they respond at all, you will get some totally nonsensical response and if you are hoping for some sort of compensation, you can whistle for it. They will litigate at huge cost to themselves rather than pay anything; it’s a totally unfathomable setup.

Thats not good, I booked the ticket on BA, i do wonder if it was at all possible if I could complain to them, if not them I will probably have to harass iberia.

I concur with JDB. Based on a frustrating 4 month saga trying to communicate with them after which I gave up, I wouldn’t bother unless for a significant out of pocket. Now try to avoid IB.

Same here. Two cases, for one of which they were willing to go to MCOL and defend the slam dunk downgrade case of £30. Even their solicitor thought they are stupid, but he just clocks up the hours.

Just curious – what kind of cake was it that ruined your clothes?
