I have bought, and very recently flown, some LATAM flights (bought via the Peru site, if that makes a difference) without realising I could credit these to BA.
Like an absolute beginner I didn’t even join LATAM Pass. I probably should resign my HFP membership for such a crime.
So my questions:
Will I still be able to credit flights already flown?
If I join Pass now will I be able to credit other flights already bought but not flown?
What would be the procedure for doing this? Do I need to join Pass or is there a way of doing this through BAEC?
Thanks as always for any help.
Latam left OneWorld a while ago. See the following: https://www.headforpoints.com/2021/04/01/can-i-earn-avios-and-ba-tier-points-if-i-fly-with-latam-2/

Sorry, should have added: BA still shows you can get AVIOS but no TPs with them. I suppose for that you will have to put an Avios complain and attach the LATAM tickets showing you took the flights. The fact they are now joining Virgin makes me wonder if the BA page is outdated
Thanks for the reply. Yes I assumed I couldn’t credit to BA but idly trying wheretocredtit threw up BA.
On the BA website I can only see where to add 125- tickets to claim avios. Is there somewhere else to add latam flights or would it be a phone/chat job?

Try this

You’ll need to know if it was LAN or TAM, as they’re still listed seperately 10 years atfer the merger.
You can absolutely still credit to BA.
LATAM still awards BA Avios, no TPs for all international flights. Domestic flights are not eligible (they weren’t before either)
I got Avios for my recent trip to Colombia from Peru in April.
In fact, you can book reward tickets with LATAM, including domestic flights, but you have to call BA. It won’t show online, but it’s similar to what Delta shows.
You can also credit and book with Iberia and Qatar.
Thanks @meta – you are running my Peruvian trip! These were domestics so I’ll relax about missing some miles. Checking into sol y luna later. Will post in the destinations thread when I have something to report…

That’s interested Meta, I didn’t know that re reward tickets. How would I go about finding if there are reward seats on certain dates before calling BA to book them, LAMTAM website I guess?
Delta website is the best bet.
Iberia website only shows economy and not PE for domestic and regional flights and it’s tricky to use. Haven’t tried Qatar.
@zio Enjoy Sacred Valley. Oh, how I miss Peru now.
@meta thanks for info. I’m curious as we’ve booked Latam flights Scl to Rapa Nui (IPC?) in October and during booking they asked me to specify choice of loyalty programme and entered BAEC. I was surprised given I knew Latam had left Oneworld some while ago and clearly it’s no guarantee we’ll get them but worth the chance.
Never occurred to me that it would be possible to book reward flights for domestic elements. Time to sit and investigate me thinks!
Thanks again.

It’s Rapa Nui I’d be interested in going to so hope you come back and tell us all about it. I put it on the back burner when seeing price of flights over to the island.
