Forums Payment cards Other payment cards Curve card blocked and not releasing!

  • 10 posts

I tried to make a payment for just over £1,000 On Weds 20th and Curve blocked it in case of fraud!
Sods law, I am flying to Dubai that evening and of course needed a Curve card whilst abroad. Luckily we had my wifes card to use instead.

Since Curve blocked it, I have had two app chat conversations, sent 5 emails to support@curve and now 2 emails to complaints@imaginecurve and have not heard one thing back from them!

I know from previous times when they have made blunders on my account that they are slow to respond, but this is ridiculous.

    What else can I do?

Use another card and be patient.
    These things can time.

Four days since I messaged Curve, no reply.

Mine blocked when I added a new card. Took two weeks and a complaint in order to get it unblocked. But they paid compensation though, so ensure you ask for this.

I’m in the same boat. Was using my Curve card in Dubai earlier this month absolutely fine (all transactions under £100 equivalent), but once I tried to use in a Gucci store, it immediately blocked the card (not even a request to authorise in the app). Very embarrassing in the store, ended up having to use Platinum, incurring 2.99% FX fees.

That was on 17th August, and still no reply to my multiple emails to support and complaints, other than it’s been sent to the relevant team. The “chat” function on app is useless, not a chat service in any sense of the word.

Same here because apparently I input the wrong expiry date 🤷‍♀️.

It didn’t tell me the expiry date was wrong, it just declined the transaction and I subsequently received an email telling me the card was suspended.

Maybe they’re on the verge of completing the knockdown sale to Lloyds Banking Group and don’t give a toss anymore.
