Forums Payment cards Other payment cards Curve “Change Card Currency” facility

  • 983 posts

Morning – I saw a tiny cog icon underneath the card that I didn’t notice before – when I pressed it, I saw a list of currencies that I could change the card to.

Are there any benefits/drawbacks in doing this, as opposed to simply leaving the original card currency as it is and spending in the usual way?

(I would check their website, but every time I click on the Curve community website forum, my browser flags it and says it’s trying to steal my information 😶)

    TIA

Yes – I have my Revolut linked as a backing card on Curve. Sometimes I change the setting between GBP and EUR, depending on the situation/circumstances.

For example if it’s just a cash withdrawal in the UK then I set it to GBP. But if I am on holiday in the eurozone and I have euros in my revolut account and I have gone over the Curve monthly FX limit, then I set it to EUR so Curve doesnt charge me a fee.

    That’s good to know 👍

I used it for cash withdrawals abroad. Curve has a large allowance for ATM withdrawals funded by a debit card without currency conversion. Hook that up to a debit card with no FX fees and you’re golden.

This is excellent – thank you – glad I asked! 😁
