Date changes to Avios reward flights?

Hi – these normally cost £35 per leg I believe – but it seems currently (under “Covid rules”) changes can be made free of charge? Is that correct or does the fee still apply to Avios reward booked flights – it is not clear to me?

Yes, changes are free, provided your existing booking is for travel before 31 August 22, any fare or ‘tax’ difference to be paid, and obviously you need reward availability on the new flight.

The “free change” applies to change fees not any other part of the fare that might have increased.
