Diamond re-qualification dates

Looking like I’ll struggle to retain diamond for next year as work travel has dropped significantly.
I just came off a live chat with a Hilton agent and they confirmed I have until March 2026 to complete my remaining stay target (I was always under the impression the deadline was end of calendar year).
Has this changed or has it always been the case and I’ve just assumed differently?

The chat agent is wrong (or misunderstood your question)

You retain the existing status until March but the nights/stays count wipes out 1st Jan. So you would need to do all of the Diamond target stays or nights in two months to qualify in that window.
