Forums Payment cards Virgin Atlantic Does cancelling the Virgin credit card cause problems when redeeming voucher?

  • 103 posts

I searched for this but couldn’t find the answer. My Virgin paid for card is coming up for renewal and I’m not inclined to renew it and pay £160. I have a voucher which has plenty of time left on it and all the points I need. I recall when using my BA companion voucher online I HAD to use an Amex card to pay the cash element.

I know that with Virgin you have to ring up and book, but I’m just looking for reassurance that if I cancel the card when I come to book I don’t find I’ve shot myself in the foot by not having a Virgin credit card.

    TIA

You do not need the Virgin CC to book with the voucher.

    Thanks for the confirmation.

No issue at all. Done this several times and still used the vouchers without issue.
