can someone confirm I’ve understood this correctly?
In regards to the Economy Plus feature of being able to change to a different flight on the same day for no additional charges.Looking at a short haul economy plus ticket out of LHR.
The early flight is about £138pp return.
The later flight is about £245pp return.I would like to catch the later flight.
So if I book the early flight, am I really able to change to the later (more expensive) flight without any issues or extra costs?
If so, how would I do this and when? The early flight is about 8am and the later flight is around midday if that helps.I must have missed something, because this sounds like an exploitable situation.
Yes – you can do it after midnight – the app usually works best but otherwise try the website or wait a few mins
Risk is the flight you want would get full but at the moment I’d say that’s a pretty small risk

It wouldn’t be the worst thing to end up flying on the early flight.
I think I’ll give this a go.Would I be able to change the flight online, or does it need a call into BA?
Thanks.You can do this after midnight local time at departure airport. You can change as long as seats are available in same class on later flights.
It usually works online but any issues you’d need to call, which can be problematic at the moment and given your flight times would be awkward.
The key thing is that you must not check in to the later flight.
