My new Personal Platinum is in the post… I should have it in hand no later than Friday. Any tips on rinsing the best out of the annual benefits in the short window between now and New Year’s Day? Is the restaurant list published anywhere? I assume Ivy Asia is on it, and the kids actually like that place (sorry @JDB)… anything better?
Pretty sure I can spend £ 50 in Harvey Nics without an issue.

Of course there are limitless better things, but children can be forgiven for not knowing better. Enjoy whatever it is!
Remember to jump on a plane / train and make the most of the overseas dining benefits. See earlier threads…
Hi memesweeper,
I did the Ivy vouchers (they have an offer where you get a bottle of fizz with every £100 voucher – personally went with 2*£100) and also bought a £50 Harvey Nichols voucher in-store, which I did get the credit for even though it being excluded in the T&C’s.
Fortunate enough to be going to Japan in <3 months so also able to use pocket concierge to prepay for Japanese restaurants using the international dining credit. Timed it quite well all in all…
Thanks for the information all 👍
BiBi or Brigadier’s both look very promising… maybe Lyle’s or Sabor or Yauatcha or Som Saa. For some reason I got the impression from glancing at comments here that there weren’t very many good options and everyone ends up at the Ivy! There are good choices on that list IMHO.
Oh, Frog by Adam Handling is too expensive even with the credit, but nice to have the option. 😀
Be VERY aware that the dining and HN offers require registration and are unlikely to appear for a few days on your account. If you want them earlier you can use online chat which can add them to your ‘saved’ offers.
Don’t do any spending until you’ve done this.

Thank you!
I had my new Platinum arrive on Monday. I spoke with live chat on Monday and got the dining credits and HN offers added. They appeared whilst I was on chat. Very impressed.
If you like Adam Handling then don’t overlook the Lock and the Tyne at Old Windsor, well worth a visit. We are Cornwall based but nipping up to Richmond tomorrow for 24 hour pressie drop, will call into the Ivy purely as it’s the easiest place to visit on our quick jaunt. We’ll pick up the £100 and a £50 voucher. Will have to do an online HN order by this weekend to be safe.

Was I imagining it, or was Scott’s Richmond on the dining credit list for a while? (it’s not currently listed)

Good shout — although I’d need a hotel… could be worth the effort to get out of the big smoke.

It was yes
Scott’s Richmond is still on the list, just under London rather than Richmond for some reason.
We smashed our last minute credit at Hakkasan today — our fourth time.
Prices keep increasing, service charges are being added, and the Plat credit is turning into a joke.
The list is good, I think. I keep revisiting the list and update the ones that are appealing to us, and mostly it worked pretty great.

in that case @marshy11 should do a last minute switch to scott’s from the ivy – it’s much nicer!
We used ours last weekend at Lucky Cat in Mayfair. It stacked with the 20% off offer so was great value.
The Ivy I think is so popular because it’s just about the cheapest option on the list and being a chain it has locations around the country – in fact in most places is the only option on the list.
Just to follow up, we went to Brigadiers, not our first choice, but the Elizabeth Line had a wobble last Saturday so we decided to walk it to Mansion House and abandon plans to head west.
We were lucky to get a table, even on a ‘dead’ Saturday between Christmas and New Year in the middle of The City. In fact, we didn’t get an actual table, but were perched at the bar. However, despite the less than perfect setting, I recommend this for anyone in London needing to find a ‘different’ venue for dinner. The food was exceptional and pre-dinner cocktails decent too. Don’t let the sports bar theme put you off, the head chef and managers are clearly on top of their game.
Given the location you’d be forgiven for expecting worse, or paying more. I’d be raving about this place without the money off.
Book through Square Meal to squeeze a couple of Virgin points out of the deal.
Thanks to all for the comments and suggestions.
