Emirates F on Classic Rewards

Hi all,

I understand EK have made changes to their Classic Rewards so that it’s no longer possible to book a reward seat in First purely using miles & taxes (I am a basic level Skywards member).

However, is it possible to book a Business Reward seat using miles & taxes, then upgrade THAT booking using further miles (and any difference in taxes)? I’m sure I read this somewhere but can’t now find it. If this is possible would the J to F upgrade be done at the check in desk or could it be done in advance online? Has anyone done this?
