Emirates Gold – any status match chance

I have been based in Dubai since a few years and hold Gold status with Emirates. I am now moving back to the UK and would ideally like to utilise my current status and match it to either BA or Virgin Atlantic or any other avios partner airline such as Qatar Airways. I am aware of the RJ status match campaign but not sure I’d like to credit my tier points and miles to their loyalty programme.

Virgin Atlantic has a long running status match scheme which is on the website, it’s not even secret. Book a ticket in Upper or Premium and it will be done.

RJ – you don’t need to credit to them, although admittedly it’s a faff changing your number around every flight.
