Hi all, noticed on the Etihad £200 offer currently available on the platinum Amex that it counts for flights departing from the UK (London/Manchester). If I were to purchase a return from SYD to LHR, would that trigger that offer in your view?
Thanks everyone!
Normally with non-airline offers you can ignore the rules. However with airline tickets Amex gets full ticketing data so imposing the rules would be easy. Your ticket may also be issued in Sydney and so would not go through the UK Amex merchant code.
No as you will be departing from SYD. I can also confirm the ticketing information is shown. You can even see it for yourself in your transactions.
On another note: anyone know if cumulative spend is allowed? (With experience of the offer being triggered)
If I book a multi-city return departing from Manchester to a city, then returning from a different city to Manchester, will this work?
If I book a multi-city return departing from Manchester to a city, then returning from a different city to Manchester, will this work?
If its all on one ticket and that ticket is departing from the UK i see why not
I book a flight from Man to India and then India back to MAN in same transaction (PNR). Will this offer be applicable? or will they be treated as 2 different transactions?
Reason – MY BA redemption ticket was single transaction from me. But 2 entries in my statement hence not sure how this would be treated by Etihad on Amex.
If someone has utilised this offer or any thing like this earlier, please let me know. Thanks
