A couple of hours ago Eurostar released the tickets from the 25th of July onwards. There are still good prices available if you book quickly.
Yup, I posted in chat but probably deserves it’s own thread. I had booked a reward flight for my journey home originally, but the timings dont work for us. If anyone wants BA flights in economy on 10th August, 2pm let me know. They were original inventory so assuming they may drop. There is no other availability from CDG all weekend at the moment.
Have now booked Eurostar at £135 one way
Just got home after work US trip and saw they were on sale. Was going to be £1,200 for the 4 of us, so have booked Easyjet from MAN to CDG for £700 including pre selected seats & bags. I can get to MAN a lot cheaper & easier than KX / St Pancras too.
Shame, I was looking forward to going on Eurostar for a change.
I was checking on the 7th and finally saw them come live at about 0945. The ones I wanted out 1st back 5th were £828 for four. By the time I had consent to buy them at midday they were £1,212.
I had some RFP flights for the 31st and 5th so decided to stick with these because even with crazy hotel prices, buying another night on the 31st was still cheaper than the train.
Shame because I now have to deal with CDG but I refuse to bow to Eurostar prices.
Yep, the Eurostar tickets seem expensive but I would imagine they will sell them due to the volume of folks needing to travel.
We managed to bag a decent Airbnb villa just under an hour from Paris, close to a train station. This has worked out a lot cheaper than 2 hotel rooms for the 4 of us.
Tickets for the Eurostar are also on sale and still very reasonable for the Paralympic Games – as well as affordable tickets to see the sports too. Worth considering if you missed out on the Olympics.
I stayed up until midnight on 6/7th (BA 241 style!) to book the Eurostar, only for the tickets not to come on sale until the following morning. 6 of us return for £1900, including Standard Prem for the way out so I look forward to my ‘light meal’! Now the tickets are £600 more.
We’ve booked 2 apartments at Citadines Bastille Marais for 8 nights for £6k non-refundable. I was hoping for the Intercontinental but was swiftly brought down to earth by some fairly crazy pricing
Thanks for tip Princess. Got my four at a now fair price. Am leaving accommodation till late as all hotels ramping up prices. Euro550 for an Ibis? No thankeee

€550! Ouch! I picked up some Euro 2024 hotel rooms cheap in case my travel clients want them but didn’t think about doing so for the Olympics!
