Currently booked onto the BA588 LHR-LIN on 19 Sep slap bang in the middle of the planned ATC Strike in France. Ordinarily this would be an inconvenience, but I have separate flights booked to MCT departing from MXP later in the day, so not getting to Italy on time(ish) is not an option. I’ve taken the precaution of booking a cheap EZY flight from MAN on 17 Sep just in case, but this does mean 2 rather expensive nights in a Milanese hotel. Not ideal.
Has anybody any idea how the last strikes affected BA services overflying France? I’ve tried searching but I’m not able to access details that far back.
It does seem French ATC strikes are becoming a bit of a norm and perhaps they need to he factored into the overall risk assessment.
