Front row seats

Hi,

I’ve noticed on Virgin the front row in economy and PE is always greyed out, how does one actually pick those seats?

I think the simple answer is that you never get to pick the bulkhead seats yourself, even with a baby requiring a bassinet. They are assigned during the check in process.

In principle you can call and make a request, not sure what status you may need (I’ve done it once as a Gold), but they still don’t assign them until check in time.
