Heads up: Barclays are now allowing Premier account debit cards to be added to Google Pay.
Hopefully Barclaycard will follow suit in the near future.
I still think it’s ridiculous that over a year after launching Barclaycard haven’t got their act together re Google Pay compatibility! Fingers crossed for some progress if they are making it work with the Premier accounts.

Annoyingly I had zero success with getting my Curve added to my Google Pay/Google Wallet even though my Barclaycard works fine with Curve itself.
I have only just realised this. Shame Barclays wont allow it. Does anyone know the reason? I assume cost or do Barclays lose visibility of customer transactions/MI?
Also using Curve for now – but seems like Barclays is rolling out GPay/Wallet for their debit cards… One can only hope they will finally allow Google Pay on their credit cards as well!
I just logged into my Barclaycard app and they have updated the T&Cs to say:
The ability to make contactless payments up to £300 using an NFC-enabled Android device will no longer be available from 30 June 2023.
Really?? Clearly a step back in technology! Very odd.
