Green charge card – Extended Warranty ends from 1st Jan 2025

Just saw this on Amex Subreddit. It appears that the extended warranty is no longer mentioned in the new terms and conditions:

Well, the extended warranty insurance was why I was happy to pay £60 a year for this card. I am now moving to the free rewards card, which I have applied and been accepted for this afternoon.

Is it still possible to get bonus reward points on adding the first supplementary card holder, because I’m unable to find the link?

Don’t cancel yet, the existing registration still counts, for me it would be the additional iPhone warranty for another year. I assume the card needs to be active for the registered warranty to be valid..

Yes, but just getting my ducks in a row by applying for the free card now. Just means I can cancel Green at anytime because another card is already linked to the account.

For anyone with a Green Amex…I’ve just accepted a retention bonus of an additional MR point on every £1 spent for the next 3 months. Of course, not in the Platinum or Gold retention league, but I think that this is a fair offer for a charge card that is closed to new applications and only costs £60 annually.
