Recently booked J LHR-SIN using Barclays upgrade voucher, 2 of us, off peak. Charged £1200 taxes and 220,000 Avios, which seems correct. Ie £300 e/w + 55,000 avios
I then rang and changed the inbound to Hong Kong as availability came up (also off peak). Based on HFPs spreadsheet, the inbound should be 50,000 avios and £275 taxes. However the booking confirmation shows the total cost as the original £1200 taxes and 220,000 Avios. Shouldn’t it be £1150 taxes and 210,000 avios, and am I due a refund?
If so, best to contact via phone or email? Not in a hurry to get it back, so don’t mind waiting for an email reply.
TIA
Was there any mention of the different avios/cash amounts when you called? I would have thought this would have been confirmed at the time.
