I had a 2 4 1 companion voucher due to expire at the end of the month, so i booked a UK flight for 9500 avios and £70. I searched how to cancel and the article said that I should request a voucher. It gave me an option to request this online, so I filled in the info on a webpage and submitted.
Within a few minutes I got an email with 2 voucher numbers. No mention of the avios or the 2 4 1. I have checked my account and the 2 4 1 is still showing as used and the avios have not been returned.
Have I done something wrong? Was I supposed to ring the call centre?
If I thought i was losing the voucher I would of tried to do a UK trip before the end of the month.
Thanks
No, you haven’t made a mistake – all your booking details are contained in the voucher, so make sure you keep the email somewhere safe. When you’re ready to rebook, call BA and have the numbers to hand. You are restricted to booking for the original passengers and there needs to be avios availability on your new route. It’s valid till Sep 23.
