We are using a BA companion voucher to fly home from our USA holiday on 27th May in business class. We have to fly home from Cincinnati as there are no flights from Nashville, which would be much easier. Following a chat with BA customer services this week they stated there ‘may’ be a release of business class reward seats flying 27/28 May, which would be ideal. I think? You can only see the reward seats by ticking that you are using a voucher on your account, I dont have ‘spare’ voucher so might miss the release of said flights. If I am correct is thrre anyone out there with a voucher who could check periodically and let me know of any availability. Hope this makes sense and thanks in advancev
Beat advice is to sign up for a seatspy first class monthly membership, will cost you £8 a month, so £16 in total and it will alert you if flights come available on your route.

Seatspy won’t show additional availability. OP has to get the help of someone who has a voucher.
It depends if they are the extra I (?) class seats, or BA just decide to release some more as they haven’t sold many cash seats.

I saw op mentioned the voucher, but expecting someone (to remember) to periodically check for voucher availability felt like a long shot, and it felt more realistic to set up an alert for additional reward seats. Feels like a route where extra general reward seats could spring up.
I wouldn’t rely on what the agent said. Likey said to leave you feeling better than any real sense of reward availabilty which is dealt with by Revenue Management.
Nor would I rely on others doing periodic searches for you.
If BA are going to release any avios seats then just do a seach for 2 seats and take it from there.
Equally I’s expect to fly home from CVG as booked.
