Hi all
So I’m trying to book a reward flight for two to Miami. I have two Virgin CC vouchers which I need to use. Ideally I would love to fly Upper Class but I don’t have enough points. I haven’t got many Amex MR except for 130k on my Italian Gold card but it doesn’t let transfer them to Virgin, only Delta. Don’t think once they’re in there I can transfer them over to Virgin.
Unless there’s a trick somewhere?
Any tips?
Thanks
You can’t transfer SkyMiles to Virgin Points. If you have SkyMiles, you’ll need to book the DL flight number to get the VS operated service. At that point, your vouchers might be of no use. Buy a cash ticket in Premium and use one voucher for a return-trip upgrade. Your other voucher remains unused.
Are you planning to use both vouchers for upgrade? That works out pretty good value – 45/55/65K points return to Miami (for PE upgraded with voucher) depending on dates, so might even be worth considering buying points to top-up depending on what you need.
Remember that you can use the vouchers to upgrade a PE cash fare, so that’s also worth considering. You can’t mix and match on the same booking though, so if you upgraded one points and one cash you’d be on two separate bookings.
We used 2 upgrade vouchers for TLV-LHR one way for 16000 plus £90 pp for PE to Upper, is this correct or should it have been 1 voucher as it’s only one way. Also somewhere in the back of my mind I thought I could have booked TLV-LHR-MAN with the LHR-MAN on BA was this possible in the past. Thanks.

It should only be half a voucher per person if its one way. If you booked for 2 people, one way, it should only be one voucher total
Do you have an Amex UK MR account? If so you could transfer between the two, once per year only and they convert @ the current €/$ exchange rate.
You can then transfer directly in to Virgin.
Thanks all, I should look into this a little further. Very helpful tips!
