Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Hilton Honors Hilton – further devaluation?

How easy? We are trying to obtain quite a few Hilton points for an upcoming trip but unfortunately do not have the Hilton Barclaycard, so our options seem to be limited (Hindsight is a wonderful thing!).

At the moment the only way we can seem to collect Hilton points is through Amex Reward points and the Hilton Currensea card.

Care to share ay tips?? Thanks in advance!

Virgin Atlantic credit cards too. You can exchange in blocks of £10,000 Virgin points at the rate of 2 Virgin points = 3 Hilton Honors points.

Value is becoming very poor. The Hampton Inn (!) Key West is now 85k pn, and some Homewood Suites in the US have gone from 35/40k pn to 45/50k. Cash prices seem to be coming down as well, making points worth under 0.3p in some cases.

Yeah, I have been using 0.25p as my valuation for quite some time and it makes the currensea card quite poor value even for a cheapskate like me

With the recent introduction of these Hilton breakfast voucher debit cards, doesn’t stuff like this contribute in some form or another towards point devaluations.
Ie more easy routes for people to attain Gold. Can’t really be considered elite can it, considering £150/year gets you it.
And as for Diamond, the benefits are just far too similar to gold.
