Hilton points not crediting from stays

Just a heads up, I’ve had a couple of stays recently where the points haven’t credited properly following a stay (both paid stays), once in Manila, where the points seemed low, and most recently in Macau, where the points earned credited as zero.
Hilton were very quick to rectify this, but I had to contact them, on both occasions. In the case of Conrad Macau, the folio didn’t have my confirmation number on it, so I emailed them the original booking confirmation email to resolve it.
So, my advice would be to keep hold of the invoice/folio and also the booking confirmations until the points have credited, it could save you some hassle down the line.
I am the person who always says “Both” when they ask at check-out if I want my bill printed or emailed. I am also the person who takes a red pen and handwritten calculations on hotel writing pads with me to check-out.
I’m having only 50%* of stays post points: You’ll see the stay appear and it may also have a receipt attached to it, and it may also have an effect on diamond qualification, but there’s never any points
* have stay at 4 hilton properties in the US in the last 15 days and only 2 stays have posted correctly
My last stay that didn’t post correctly was in 2017. Since the start of 2019 all my stays (over 50) have posted by 6am UK time the morning after check out.
If checking between 4am-6am I sometimes get a scare as the previous day’s stay shows up with 0 points, but by 6am it gets corrected automatically.
I physically check out from less than 10% of hotels as the only reason to do so would be if I want to pay with different / mixture of cards or dump unwanted coins.
Conrad? In Manila? If so I had the exact same issue and stupidly didn’t keep the receipt…managed to get it sorted in the end with the Hilton call centre after finally finding a helpful person but lesson learnt to keep the receipt (weirdly enough or not… the receipt wasn’t available online….;)
I stayed 7 nights at the Hilton Mallorca Galatzo and only got credited 2,487 base points. To be fair hiltonhonors@hilton.com resolved the matter within hours of emailing them the problem and the folio/receipt.
As an aside I thoroughly recommend the Hilton Mallorca Galatzo.
It’s happened to me again this week…no nights, no stays and no points added to my account following a one night stay at Hilton Manchester and a one night stay at Doubletree Leeds.
