I’m close to triggering the BA Amex companion and wondering if there’s any chance it might unlock from CW availablity for an October flight Ive got booked LHR-SYD – I know, a very popular route!
At the moment I’ve got two seats in WTP booked and will be coming back MEL-LHR in Qatar Business. Trying to explore every way I can to get the outbound upgraded!!
Also, I just got Silver status, which I believe means I can (briefly) use the BA lounge during the Singapore stopover?

You wouldn’t be able to upgrade your current booking using the 241, you’d need to book in CW then cancel the original seats.
You’re also constrained in that you’ll need CW on both sectors to appear.
You may well find extra availability from the regions, so when you get your voucher, make sure you search from, e.g. NCL, MAN etc as well as LHR. If you’re not au fait with this quirk of the voucher, there are articles and threads explaining it on this site.
Thank you! Yeah my plan would be to cancel the WTP and re book in CW, I’ve got enough Avios to make a new booking if the availability appears!
