I’m about to hit 40 nights and will be selecting annual club lounge membership. How quickly will this post. Am hoping to have access to club lounge 1 week after selecting that perk.
Since it’s Sept now, would u not be better waiting till October to hit 40 nights, and thus extend your 90 day period to select a benefit into Jan 2023 (thus achieving the bloggers’ trick/wishful thinking of lounge access till 31/12/24)?
Considering I recently received compensation points from IHG on the basis of “we know our T&Cs don’t say that, but they should, and we’ll update the website” re denied benefits, I have trepidation re 1)the lounge access coming with exclusions as yet missing from IHG’s website and 2)I think the bloggers’ trick is damn near certain to be one of these “That’s not what we meant; ignore our T&Cs” sutuations.

A strict reading of the T&Cs suggests yes. But as I say above, don’t put it beyond IHG to simply change the T&Cs in their favour.
