How to pay for Hilton points in USD

Even if Hilton now allows us to pay for Honors points in GBP, the exchange rate is awful.
I’d still would like to pay with my no-fee card as it gives me a better deal, but I don’t know how to make Hilton system switch to USD.
Any idea?

Try changing your registered address in your hilton account to a hotel addresss in the US, logout, leave it overnight and then try again.

Thanks for the tip – changed my address to one in NYC, bought the points and it saved me $45, i.e. about 4%!

Very easy as currently updated immediately on refresh and then I changed my address back to my UK one after the points immediately posted to my account.
