Has anyone else noticed that availability for these rates to be able to use the voucher has been significantly reduced recently? Originally thought that this was the same as the standard non discounted rate, but checking a few hotels I cannot find any weekend rates available for some time, even though normal standard non discount rates are available.
To double check you are using the specific AMB search as the usual searches don’t include the voucher rates.
Also availability for using the rate is limited.
Yes, that’s the rate. I don’t remember having this issue with availability in previous years, it seems to be exceptionally limited. Have been looking at the IC Barcelona and had this error message come up

Clicking through from the voucher in my account (via Chrome) I get an option to search for flexible dates and there is definitely availability showing in Barcelona for some dates in November, so it is not the case that the hotel doesn’t offer any AMB night spaces at all. There does seem to be limited availability though. We’ve stayed there before (on an AMB free night cert) and it is a great hotel.
That’ll teach me to read the whole thread, as above there doesn’t seem to be any availability until November.

Strange, when I log-in to my account I can see the availability for November, when I use the IC website to search not logged in it tells me the hotel doesnt offer the rate. Have booked using points instead – so looking forward to staying, I think, I stayed here a long time ago when it was a Crowne Plaze Fira – if it is the same hotel.
It definitely feels like there is less availability. Tried to book the IC Edinburgh and there are no AMB weekend rates available until Jan!
At the risk of contradicting my first sentence, I have an AMB stay at the IC 02 this coming weekend. I have been offered the chance to pay £40 extra to get a king premium room, which I would expect to then be one category upgraded as an Ambassador to a Junior Suite.
IF using the weekend night voucher can anyone confirm if this also applies to the upgrade price i.e. I only pay an additional £40 once and not twice?
