Thanks for the heads up.
People need to chose wisely as it’s not a reversable choice once made.
Well the first choice only makes sense if you will stay 3 nights or fewer during the period.
The last time they did this I did choose the first option and stayed 2 nights, as IHG was dead to me, but they have since made me diamond so I will stay an exact multiple of 4 nights this time round.
Yeah, I boobed on the last one. Ended up staying 4 when I hadn’t planned to due to a late mattress run. This time I have 8 before 31/8 so I will tick the right box.
I hate this promotion! Last time I selected 2 nights and finally made 4… this time I already have 2 nights booked, but not sure if I’ll stay more or not, since I haven’t finished my plans for July and August yet…
Do reward nights count if you then spend $30 at the hotel?

Doesn’t look like it from the Ts&Cs:
Stays booked using Rewards Nights or Points & Cash are not Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays for purposes of this Promotion.
Thanks @davefl gor posting. At best it’s a $65 rebate on 4 mights. With many HIX over £200 a night this summer it’s hardly worth getting excited about but still it’s 4(+) nights towards milestones and status. Works well for those who need a vheap stays off the beaten track, Asia etc.
@Anna, no because as @Jeff pointed out the stay itself needs to be qualifying.
Thanks for this. I always register for the 10k version, even if 2 is guaranteed but 4 isn’t, as if minimum of 30% of the time those extra nights end up being required, you are better off over the long run. For me that percentage is more like 70% so almost always better off even if I don’t know that for sure yet
Thanks – it was a bit late to digest Ts and Cs when I saw this!
Thanks @davefl & great timing with 16 nights upcoming during qualifying period (for someone who is yet to step onto one IHG property). IHG only has HfP to thank for of course. Whether this is a cause for celebration or sign of how the stars have fallen I am still undecided.
Not had an email about this.
If it works for me, I’ll take the 10k points this time. Got confused with the last one when I thought I had to stay X nights to get 4k points? consecutively rather than X nights whenever.
Wonder if it will work with my present “stay 2 nights, get 3k points”? Still got one out of 3 bonuses left for this promo which I’ll do in a week or so.
@Xenole oh you can be sure IHG will send you multiple emails about it the next few months. Probably starting tomorrow or tuesday.
And yes it will stack with your stay 2k, they always stack.
Appears they’ve postponed the start date to 6/6 https://www.ihg.com/content/gb/en/deals/member-offers/2kor10k
That sucks for me, 2 of my 8 planned nights are before the 6th.
