Amex are confusing with their multiple simultaneous offers. Depending upon how you add your first card you can either get:
– 0 avios if you dont go via a link,
– 3,000 when using the standard link, or
– 6,000 when using https://www.americanexpress.com/uk/benefits/supplementary-cards/ba.html
Not sure how new this is but I couldn’t see mention of it on the forum.
The link is for a special offer from 2021!
Good spot. I just saw 31 July, I didn’t even think to check the year! Clicking on the still live links takes you to the application page without warning or error. You would have thought Amex could have decommissioned this page in the intervening 20mths.
Ugh!! I saw that link. Got my partner a supplementary card. We got the 3000 sign up points. We have spent £500 so now I assume we won’t get the 2nd 3000 points?
However on this link…. https://www.americanexpress.com/uk/benefits/supplementary-cards/
It says…. 7. The first Platinum Supplementary Card is provided at no additional charge. An annual fee of £285 applies to each Platinum Supplementary Card
I assume the 1st supplementary card is free and they mean each additional card pays £285?
