A 2 night stay on points prior to a trip to Bali and I must say this is an outstanding hotel. The location will not suit some, but it was perfect for recovering from jet lag in style and comfort. It is bright, colourful and modern with service to match!

I paid a premium for the hotel to pick me on arrival not realising that this included being met immediately after passport control and escorted to my car. It was slick and efficient.

On arrival at the hotel I was greeted by name as I stepped out of the car and it seemed as though everyone knew who I was. It was very cleverly done and felt personalised rather than contrived.

My room was upgraded to a corner room on the 20th floor and I was showered with vouchers for money off in eateries, the spa and received 2 drinks vouchers and welcome points.

The reception area was stunning and the bar service excellent. The Spa was outstanding.

My room was very well appointed and a very decent size. I loved the colour scheme and the art, not just in my room but throughout the hotel.

The club lounge is located on the 25th floor and must rank as one of the best I have used. It is not on the same level as either the Park Lane or the Bali IC Resort, but it was superb. Again the use of my name was universal.

For dinner on the 2nd night I ate in the Palace Chinese on the 27th floor. It turned out that this place is not part of the hotel though that was not made clear till the bill arrived. This was the one disappointing aspect as the Palace is too bright, has no table smaller than 6 and feels sterile, unwelcoming and lacks any feeling of being Chinese. The food was however excellent but I would not return.

    Thanks for the review.
I may return to Jakarta one day to start a train journey across Java now that there is a high speed service in place to Bandung (more or less).

How long was the journey from the airport?
    How many points per night?
I assume you are IHG Diamond Ambassador?

    Thanks
