Wondering if anyone knows, my ita status says expires 01/2025

Is that 01/01/2025 or the end of the month? Normally with status it’s a specific date but can’t find anything specific here

    I just had:

We are delighted to inform you that we have decided to renew your Club Premium membership for 2025.

This gift to you, for your travel with ITA Airways in 2024, will enable you to keep enjoying the exclusive benefits available to Premium Volare members

I had half a dozen flights but not enough for renewal. I wonder what this means for LH?

I’m still getting Sky Team Elite Plus benefits from adding my ITA FFP to KLM flights.

When does this stop working? I thought LH had swallowed them up already.

Wonder if this extension offer requires taking an ITA flight or if any skyteam flight credited to the account will do

Not the easiest airline to do one ITA flight in January to get the extension

Cymro- these were ita flights you took or skyteam?

Agreed. Easiest if London or SE based. As ever !

Coz the game is up @Swiss-Jim.

Although I did bestow Sky Team Elite status on Mrs Froggee so she may end up with Star Alliance status.

I have just booked AF flights to Paris in jan and added my ITA details to the booking so fingers crossed

I’d be surprised if that worked. I’d assume has to be ITA metal.

Unless you jump on a flight to Rome. One way presumably works. (Not that I’m not saying you, or you wife, is not welcome back…).

Out to Milan and back on Ryanair is probanly the cheapest way to do it, looks like you can do the trip for under £100. From the NW it’s a bit more inconvenient, maybe a ryanair return and an internal flight would box it off over a weekend. I’m considering if it’s worth it, bit busy in work this year and I I’ve booked the big summer trip on Finnair.

Reading it as the current status will be valid until 31/01 then, i’ve got a saudia trip lined up and the skyteam status will make all the difference for economy with a layover

ITA flights credited to them. Thought it might help with LH.

Thought I might as well have a nice day trip next month, LCY-LIN-LCY, out on BA and back on ITA, and getting to try out the A220 at last.

This was my plan. Anyone found any Ts&Cs for this yet though?

The key questions for me are

    1) how long will ITA remain in Sky Team next year?
    2) will there be some kind of status match for Elite holders when it becomes part of the LH group?

Worth the gamble. I predict it’s a worthwhile one.

    Booked LCY-LIN-VCE(train)-STN

    ITA out, Ryanair back

    About £120

    3 nights, hotels on points

If it doesn’t work re SkyTeam then LH I’ve got a decent trip out of it anyway.

    Have booked
    Ryanair MAN-CIA
    Hotel Rome for the night
    ITA FCO-LIN
    Hotel 2 nights in Milan
    Ryanair BGY-MAN

Hotels on points. Flight cost £100 total.

Worst part of the itinerary is getting from Milan to BGY.

It will be worth it just for the extra baggage allowance it gives, even on one skyteam flight a year.

Did a flight with Saudia in Nov/Dec and credited to ITA but that did not extend my status, hence the quick Jan trip. It will be an adventure as having never flown with Ryanair before

Yeah I’ve done half a dozen KLM flights this year – all credited to ITA Volare as FFP to get the Elite benefits – and so it’s clear that at least one flight must be on ITA metal for it to count. Unfortunately I’m nowhere near an airport that flies an ITA route (I’m ex-UK) so it’s not worth it for me to do the trip that I’d need.

Just saw on FT that someone had received an email saying that flights sold OR operated through AZ would qualify. So booking a codeshare through the ITA website should also do the trick.

If you still can’t find a route then there’s the option of booking flights to/from Italy with the most convenient routing and doing a domestic hop between outbound and inbound. I’ll probably pass on that.

Yeah saw that on FT, my email doesn’t explicitly state that it implies AZ metal, however if you click through the regulations tab it says “ Flights that are both sold and operated by ITA Airways, effectively purchased by or on behalf of the Member, and used by the same individual, without prejudice”. In general relating to qualifying status accrual points.

I’ve booked a day ret LCY-LIN for £160 on ITA which works in with my plans

Has anyone seen their status extended yet?
