Even going into this knowing hotel prices were extortionate, it’s still been pretty eye opening (and sobering!)

What are you looking for? 3, 4 or 5*? Do large rooms matter to you?

The Cross Hotel in Osaka is a little tired, but the staff and location were excellent, and I would definitely return if in Osaka — in this chain: https://orixhotelsandresorts.com

Both seemed to undercut western brands by a significant margin. The Soki was very Japanese, the Cross less so.
