Kenya Airways status match with no challenge (SkyTeam)

Don’t know if this is of any use to anyone, but Kenya Airways has a new loyalty programme called “Asante” and is status matching across a variety of airlines.

Kenya Airways is part of the SkyTeam alliance.

According to the comments section on this website, they also appear to have a soft landing

Caveat: also according to the article, as it’s a new programme, there is some lag in programme recognition by other airlines.

I’m now Asante Gold until September 2024

There was a little backward and forth with the match team due to confusion at their end.

But all sorted now.

Presumably people want this to bolster their VS and AF-KLM flying primarily (based on the HfP readership)?

If so, best to check whether one can use Asante status for status benefits but send the miles earned elsewhere
