    Hilton Kuala Lumpur?

The hotel is at KL Sentral station, so you can take KLIA Ekspres Train to and from. When returning to airport, if you are flying MH, they have in-town check in for flights, so you check in and leave your bags right at station upon leaving hotel.

The hotel has a decent breakfast offering, but not sure if you’d have time.

+1 for KLIA Ekspres to Hilton Sentral (or Le Meridien next door if you prefer), especially if all you want is a hotel restaurant meal and a good sleep (although you could equally stay at the Sama Sama airport/airside hotel for that). But if there’s 2 or more of you, it would be cheaper (albeit not quicker) to get a taxi, in which case you can stay anywhere – and if you want to explore KL and maybe experience the street food etc, you might prefer to be around the golden triangle / Bukit Bintang area (although avoiding the traffic when getting out to the airport the next morning might mean an early start). Have a look for the “KL master thread” somewhere in this forum – lots of good info in there.

The distance from KLIA to KL is about 45mins by car, which can be a pain for a short overnighter and the taxi’s are a bit of a scam, Grab is your friend.

Be careful with your journey to KUL for your 1025am next morning.

You’ll be setting off in the middle of peak morning rush hour traffic if it’s a workday. KLIA express is a safer bet if you’ll be at Hilton KL but if it’s just a decent overnight sleep you’re looking for have a look at Hilton Putrajaya which is 15-20 minutes away from KUL.

    Thanks to all.

it’s a Wednesday morning flight with Malaysia.

2 of us and been to KL years ago, so no desire to explore.

Yes also KLIA Ekspres most handy, it does not cost too much more taking a grab, but yes traffic varies quite abit depending on time of day. If staying at KL Sentral, the brickfields area next to this had lots of great value local indian food places and restaurants to try

there’s a Sama Sama hotel right next to airport. Not going to be a Hilton or Marriott, but more than enough for a layover.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Sepang which is closer than going into the city centre and made good use of the free transfer the following day. Much better than a UK Holiday Inn — I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

There’s a couple of airport hotels of which the Sama Sama mentioned above by BBB is the best (there’s a pool if you need). Not sure if they still pick you up and drop you off in a golf cart though.
I personally wouldn’t bother with the hassle of getting to Sentral with luggage just to sleep and get up really early again.

I had a layover in KUL in December, and stayed at SAMA SAMA attached to the terminal (the normal terminal, not the one for low cost airlines). Its a short walk indoors, although they do have golf cart shuttles which work well.
Hotel is absolutely fine, convenient, and relatively cheap.
