Sometimes it feels like we only come here to moan.
Just had a flight to Madrid with Iberia and wanted to give a big thumb up to the new 320 Neo:
– Nice seats with extra legroom up to row 17 (to the point you don’t need to fight for the emergency exit seats). They also allow all arm rests to be fully moved up (even aisle and window side)
– 4pm take off, they kept lights low for the whole flight which was really nice (new led lighting)
– USB chargers for all passengers
– Free wifi to use mail and WhatsApp/Signal
– extra large overhead luggage storage
– IB allows those with status to check luggage even in the cheapest tariff (unlike BA)
– T3 departure allows you to try the best lounges!
Don’t know if I am unlucky with BA but their planes feel old and cramped by comparison.
And even better if you book on one of the daily A350
or A330 flights and either have a flat business seat or book a premium economy seat at no additional cost on an economy ticket if you have status.

Unfortunately, IB changed their IT system and for short haul flights on the 330 and 350 you need BA Gold or IB Platinum to select the XL seats! (you can still select emergency exit, even if on PE with Silver).
I was pleasantly surprised by the 320 Neo.

Unfortunately it’s being reported on flyer talk that IB will be moving back to T5 at the end of March when the summer season starts.

While unfortunate. This may open up new routes as right now you can mostly do transfer to AA from IB flights as the system seems to prefer you remain on the same terminal.
I might just be imagining it but every time I’m on a Neo I seem to have some of the worst ear pain I’ve ever experienced on an aircraft whilst descending.
It’s very uncomfortable and never seems to be as bad on the older Airbuses or a Boeing aircraft.

Sorry just trying to clarify, i’ve got ba silver status so if i go for row 12 (exit/pe) on the a350 in premium economy seats (lon – mad) it will allow me to take them?

Yes, as silver BA member you can select emergency exit seats premium or not (shown as yellow). You cannot select just normal premium economy seats (show in dark purple).

My May LHR-MAD on IB has been moved from T5 (when I booked) to T3 so looks like they’re staying. Sadly I’m connecting from MAN so not ideal.
