On the off chance that someone may know…
I wanted to book flights as above for a Saturday in May ‘24. However for some reason the early morning flight on every Saturday in May doesn’t show. Early morning flights show for every other day of the month, including Sundays, just not Saturday’s… they also do show for Saturdays in April ‘24. Does anyone know if there is a reason for this?

Only BA544 operates on a daily schedule at approximately the same time around 8.30pm. The early morning and evening flights run at different times on different days. There are three flights a day, save on Saturdays. As a Bologna aficionado, these flights have always been roughly the same.

Ok thanks so it’s expected that as there are only 2 flight on Saturdays, the one that doesn’t run is the one I want, early morning (in May). It’s therefore weird that there are 3 flights on Saturdays in April, but annoyingly not in May, when I need it… 🙂
I suspect by May they rather send the aircraft to Greece or Turkey etc on a Saturday morning for more £££
That part of Italy is blessed with BA flights and the trains are of course very good so perhaps you could fly into a different airport?

Yes I was going to fly to FLR instead as it was the Saturday at start of half term but I was too slow to get the avios seats before they sold out this morning so have booked the late flight on the Friday, day before, to BLQ. All good.
