LHR to PER, Via DOH. Questions

Evening All

After a little bit of advice when I transit via Doha, Qatar. Flight from Heathrow, London to Perth, Australia. Due to some cancellations and changes to flights I have ended up with two separate bookings. Both booking have been made using Avios points and will be taken in business class for both legs.

Leg 1
British Airways Flight – London Heathrow to Doha, Qatar. Booked via BA

Leg 2
Qatar Airways Flight – Doha, Qatar to Perth, Australia. Booked via Qatar Airways

1 – Will I have to collect my luggage at Doha and Recheck it in?
2 – If so does this mean passing through immigration?
3 – Leg 2 is a codeshare flight with BA, could I make them aware at Heathrow to help not having to collect luggage?

Any advice on best way to do this would be appreciated, don’t really want to collect baggage when transiting.
