Locking in Diamond Elite with AMB?

So I got the Diamond Elite “offer” and stayed at the IC in Edinburgh last week. Wow. Am now tempted to see if I can retain the status – am I right in thinking that if I buy AMB before the end of the year, I’ll lock in Diamond Elite for 2023, even though I only have a couple of qualifying stays?

That is unofficially how it ends up. AMB gives you Platinum by default, but taking it when you’re Diamond has an unexpected benefit

So I have also benefited from Diamond status through 31 Dec 22. But my AMB year end is in March or there abouts. Is there any way I can renew AMB now (before 31 Dec) to lock in Diamond status for 2023

@MisterE I am in the same position and cannot renew early – it looks like the website is coded to not permit early renewals before a certain date.

The earliest you can renew is 92 days before expiry

There’s a lot of us in this position. My Amb year end is Sept 23. Let’s see what happens with Diamond ….

@MisterE my renewal was 1 March. 92 days before it let me renew. It then extended my diamond status until 31 Dec 2024. I was expecting/hoping for extension until Dec 2023 so the extra year was a nice surprise. Hope it works the same way for you.
