I am flying BA CE, my booking has my BA Bronze Exec Club number attached.
I am also AA Platinum Pro (OW Emerald).
CAN I ACCCESS THE BA FIRST CLASS LOUNGE AT LHR?
If you’re flying in Club Europe you will have access to the lounge.
As a OW Emerald you will have access to Galleries First even if flying economy.
Do you want to credit the flight to BAEC? Changing FF number to AA Plat Pro will get you extra luggage allowance, group 1 boarding & free seat selection at any time including Row 1.
If leaving BA number on booking you’ll have to show proof of OW Emerald to get in lounge & they may swap FF numbers on the booking without realising/telling you so check.
Worth knowing Galleries First isn’t actually the First Class passenger’s lounge so don’t expect anything too fancy.
i know what to expect in lounge and not particularly bothered about access to either; just wanted to check the procedural element if AA frequent flyer number not attached to the booking.
i guesss the question is if i show up at lounge as quote my AA FF number, will they let me into FIRST lounge?

You have capitalised First perhaps without understanding that at LHR, BA has a First lounge principally for Gold/Emerald card holders, but BA’s highest tier lounge at LHR is the Concorde Room to which you will not have access. The so called FIRST lounge is, in fact, not the lounge for First Class passengers.
i understand the lounge set up at LHR, I am specifically trying to assess how i access EMERALD benefits at LHR without the status being attached to my booking. Can i for example jsut quote my AA FF number on entry to the lounge?

You can but they will want to see it and put it on the system, no doubt so they can bill AA for the lounge visit.
Do you have a digital membership card in the AA app, similar to the BA one? This would presumably show your Emerald status, along with your BA boarding pass to show you are on a OW flight departing that day.

I think this is the key point. If you do not want to credit the flight to BA, check, and if necessary, update the booking after you leave the lounge
It is of course still possible within Amadeus to enter two frequent flyer numbers, one for status and the other for mileage accrual but this does require a BA agent who knows what they are doing. In more punctilious countries or stricter airlines, they want to see it officially in your booking rather than having an unrecognisable card flashed at them.
