I am about to trigger the 40 night reward options and I may even reach 50 nights by year end, but that’s it. My current lounge pass is valid for all of 2026 but I’d like to extend it to Dec 27.
The problem is the need to select within 90 days which will be 22nd December. Any advice?
I could take the suite upgrade and 5 x f&B vouchers.
Just not sure I can rack up 40 nights next year. I value the pass very highly and with 29 IC nights this year it has been well used and saved me a fortune.
Am I deluded to think IHG might extend till Dec 27?
No they won’t extend it to 2027.
Even if you delayed triggering it by a couple of weeks so the selection deadline crept into 2026 it would still expire at the end of 2026.
You would have to hope for a double nights promotion next year if you cannot make it to 40 nights.
@Paul you say you value the pass very highly. So do I. It saves me massive amounts over a year. Also the lounges in ICs are generally better than their counterparts. But I recognise the reason they are better is because they are less diluted than Hilton’s or Marriott’s.
I think you may want to do the sums on your 2026 travel and see where the 40 nights might come from. Between visiting friends where I used to live, occasional overnightd at airports and bank holiday weekends where I can get away on the Thurs night, you may be surprised how the nights add up. If it looks like you’d end up very close to 40, a cheap stay somewhere with some utility may make it worthwhile.
