Lufthansa Amex spend offer

Hi Head For Points Members

The Membership Free rewards card offer is £150 cash back when £1500 is spent. I am trying to find out what direct flights you can get from the UK. Most of them are direct to Germany, and then a connecting flight, which are night flights or late afternoon flights. I do not like to fly in the afternoon or at night as it really messes up my sleep pattern. Has anyone got any ideas on how to maximise the offer?

I am thinking of checking if Lufthansa has a morning flight to the USA or Asia, one has been able to fly from Germany in the morning to the US or Asia.
Any help would be great in using this offer.

I forgot to comment this morning, but the LH offer blurb doesn’t actually specify whether or not cardholders have to start journeys from the UK (at least not when I looked this morning, anyway).

It only states that the transaction should be on the LH GB website, and that the transaction should bill in GBP. But then, all offers say that (like the dining credit on Platinum, for example) and anything that hits the card will ultimately be in GBP and the funds are reimbursed.

A bit confused, or maybe I got it wrong. Maybe someone in the know can let us know!
