So just done a work trip to Helsinki and used that to get 4 of the 6 sectors required to extend to Feb 2026.
LHR – FRA – HEL return economy
Used Senator lounges in LHR, both time in FRA and was allowed into the Aspire lounge in HEL.
Actually had the return HEL – FRA upgraded at the gate which was nice. All flights were 95-100% full.
Should have another work trip coming up soon or will find a cheap one if needed to get the final sectors.
Pretty happy really, and all based from a BA Silver to SAS EBG match and then EBG matched to LH Senator.
Incidentally, the LH app is excellent and was a great help with gates, routes etc.
I’m off to Warsaw on Monday and am going via Vienna both ways to knock up four sectors.
Even worse I’m going to Amsterdam via Frankfurt next week.
It gets me the full 6 sectors though, and I can come home direct from AMS!

Are you going to have the chance to experience the Raffles over in Warsaw as noticed HFP doesn’t have a review?
One of my personal favorite hotels and one I do several stays at a year. Accor Diamonds are treated well and you the suite night vouchers get you into a heritage suite which is above the normal exec suite.
I’ve also had good upgrades here through the Plat FHR programme before I was Diamond.
This hotel was the main reason the Accor ALL program became interesting for meBack on topic of this thread I’m also chasing down the 6 segments over the next few weeks and was wondering if Economy light would count vs Classic on Lufty?
I don’t see any rules saying this but kept it safe and went ClassicYes, stayed at Raffles and used a Suite Upgrade Award. Review to follow!

It’s a pity *A Gold don’t get free seat selection benefits with alliance partner airlines like you do with OW.
@Rob and others, understood you have done the 6 legs for the LHG status challenge. Do you know when the expiry will be updated? Mine is still shown Feb 2025. I’ve only done mine early this week though.

I completed my sixth sector last week and still waiting for an update. I have a friend who completed earlier in the year and he suggested around two weeks before it updated.

As a side note, I was able to do free seat selection on all the flights I took, on LH, LX, Helvetic and Air Dolomiti so enjoyed exit row seats for nearly all of the sectors.

Helvetic aren’t eligible for the challenge so hopefully at least 6 segments were on the other airlines – I had to go and do an extra segment after reading the FAQ’s again 🙂

What’s also been very useful is the new status has twice saved me from having my carry-on taken and put in the cargo hold at the departure gate – once because they were randomly selecting cabin bags from economy passengers, and once because they were walking around with a set of scales to weigh carry-ons and taking those that weighed over 8kg, never seen that before at the gates. A wave of the card and they moved on.
It looks like the status extensions are starting to come through. I’ve just received mine and its also reflected in the LH app. Extended to Feb 26
Yes, mine has been extended now to Feb 2026.
Interestingly, there is something about eVoucher x 2 ?
Just got my extension, and 2 eVouchers in the dashboard. No idea what they are.
