Morning, i have 325k bonvoy points. I’m looking to book 5 nights for 323k points plus $300 in resort fees and taxes. However, I accept and when the confirmation screen appears it says i need 347k points. Why is this please?

Have you checked the points price for each night?

I think your free night is your last night not a night in the middle. So if the points value for the Wednesday would be higher than the points value for the Friday then that would be the difference.

What do the Wednesday free night actually cost?

Are all 5 nights in the same room type? Are all nights a 32k upgrade fee?

The free night is always the lowest cost night of the 5 regardless of where it falls in the sequence

Wednesday night is pricing up as 62k points as well. I assume this is the free night as its the first cheapest night out of the 5 i’m looking to book. None of the other nights shows the 32k upgrade fee so i assume its included in the daily points totals above.

All 5 nights are the same room type – Executive Suite, 1 king with sofa bed.

Another oddity, if i make it 6 night booking and add the Sunday before in…. On its own as a 1 night stay its only 72k points but booking it as 6 nights makes it 85k. Do you loose the free night if you book over 5?

No – you still get 5 for 4 if you book more than 5. We booked 7 reward nights last year and that worked fine.
