Hello
Has anyone stayed in Mauritius in jan ? From doing some research it says this time of year is peak for cyclones and bad weather
Has anyone had any experiences that time of year
Sugar beach and lux grand gaube have some very could prices for my dates in Jan , wondering if it’s due to poor weather , or hotels are terrible
Many people here will swear it’s fine, but given climate change you may experience something really severe and indeed I have been caught up in cyclone in late Feb. I’d avoid. Even if it’s not severe, rain for half day is almost guaranteed and night always falls around 6pm, so it’s not like European summers. So ask yourself, for example, do you want to spend indoors/in the resort till lunchtime on some of the days and only have a few hours before dark? Some people like that, but prices of hotels are lower for a reason.
