Husband and I have No Amex cards, and we’re not BA fliers, as have been using and collecting virgin airmiles. We fly maybe once a year so hadn’t really needed to do anything else. Until this morning when Swiss changed our bargain business class wedding anniversary flights to arrive the next day, which would mean massive hassle to sort out already fully booked accommodation. Handily the BA flight is only a tiny bit more expensive and so now we need to become Avios collectors.
After some reading of the HfP beginners guides I think our best route is I apply for a BAPP card ( after emailing rob for the signup link) then refer him? It’s the companion 241 vouchers that are majorly appealing as we have family in Chicago, so looking at that one rather than the Amex gold, and the sign up bonus is quite appealing too at the moment!
So annoying as we were talking about it just last week and I just had not got round to it, so I’m going to miss the 3 avios per £ spent on BA flights.
Have I missed anything? Thanks in advance…
