As requested by yorkshirerich on the Thailand thread. Been recovering from jet lag since our return so hadn’t got round to a review
We really loved the melia and were very glad we choose it over kimpton. The breakfast was al a carte and some buffet bits and really loved this area which had air con and could be used during the day for drinks and snacks (,(you had to eat/drink there no taking cans of drink out) evening canapés and cocktails were excellent proper cocktails including a daily special we tried most over the 7 days all good. We really enjoyed the evening nibbles too and one of the days didn’t venture out for a meal as we enjoyed this instead. The level staff were all amazing and we found a great massage place via them and also great local restaurants.
Re accommodation we had swim up boats 2 and 3, the stairs and only one bedside table were the only negatives but we got used to being a bit careful walking down and there is a toilet on the upper floor so you don’t need to try to do this at night. We would book this room again as our boat 2 was especially private. I wouldn’t go there without doing the level that made it for us

I can post more about the area later just wanted to get this info out for Yorkshire rich.
