    Great thread!

I have just checked our return flight and the aircraft has been swapped to an old British Midland, so we changed our seats sharpish

    Thanks!

I also once experienced a strangely narrow seat – not a middle one but window. I luckily had the entire row for me (not a busy flight) and tested all three seats. The window one was smaller. I even asked a flight attendant why the seat was smaller, she did test and could not explain but also noticed the difference. It looked like it was attached to the other two instead of all three being one unit. It was a London to Faro flight last summer.

@supergers49 That is really interesting, esp the price! Cheers! Any idea how many BA planes still have these seats? I thought I’d experienced all BA had to offer but I’ve never seen these

Apologies @SBIre for the slow response. I don’t know precisely. Tbh I was a little surprised any pre-2006 bmi aircraft would still be in use by BA.

No need to apologise at all! I’m surprised too!
