Mixing HBO/Economy Plus fare + Silver

Hi all – question I think I know the answer to, but sense checking given it seems to convenient…

I’m BA Silver. If I purchased 2x economy tickets for cash – one HBO, one as Economy Plus (checked baggage), presumably I can check in two bags thanks to Silver, and don’t need to purchase 2x checked baggage fares?

And no issue with seat selection as I can use Silver to choose? Or am I missing something?

Assuming you mean for two people, you can’t have different ticket types on the same booking so it would be two separate bookings.

Then yes you can check two bags, but you can’t choose seats for the second person.

You’d need to pay for the other person’s seat to guarantee you’d be sitting together, so you need to weigh that up against the saving on booking separate tickets.
