Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Most cost-effective way to earn 60 tier points

  • 25 posts

I have 240 tier points and need to earn another 60 tier points by early July to achieve Bronze status, which would be useful for free seat selection on long haul Avios redemption flights. What’s the most cost-effective way to earn 60 tier points, ideally involving travel to a worthwhile destination? I live close to LCY, but can also fly from LHR or LGW.

Sadly the top two results don’t appear to be real fares but the below link might give you some ideas.

In summary a cheap club Europe fare for 80 tier points will be your friend.

You should be able to get 80TPs from a Club Europe return on a domestic or near-Europe flight for c.£200. Flights in the middle of the day to/ from LCY can be pretty cheap.

Thanks very much for the helpful replies. This gives me plenty of options to start thinking about.

Look at the Low Fare Finder tool on ba.com which gives a month by month view of the cheapest destinations. Domestic prices have been pretty high recently so you may find a reasonably short hop to the continent is better value.
